Welcome to the Fountain House Art Studio & Gallery, DeWitt, Iowa. Open by chance or by appointment. Studio workspace is available for 1-20 people. Classes and individual instruction for various traditional art media: Drawing, Painting, or Ceramics. Gallery space features the artwork of Cassie Garrity in mixed media acrylic and ceramics work. Commissions and available work is for sale.
The first floor gallery space is also available for small gathering of 1-30 people.
INSTRUCTION COSTS
INDIVIDUAL & GROUP CLASSES
GLAZE IT PARTY (1.5 HR SESSION)
Various bisque available small animals, money banks, bowls or various mugs (6 person minimum rate) Painting or glazing small Bisqueware, pick up 1-2 weeks later after firing. Painting with acrylic can be taken same day. Choose from items $5-$50 in range.
PAINT IT PARTY (1.5 HR SESSION)
Small canvas and acrylic paint. Participants will transfer design or image to the canvas and paint with instruction. Also available to paint: squishmallows, ceramics, canvas tote or art bag/ makeup bags. (Can be taken home same day). $20/person for canvas party (6 person minimum). Boxed party also available.
DRAW-A-PALOOZA
Small drawing with graphite, colored pencil or pastels. Participants will bring a full color or black & white, full page print out of their choice of subject matter. Participants will transfer design or image to the paper and shade/color with instruction. $20/person (6 person minimum rate)
FULL CERAMICS EXPERIENCE PARTY ( 2: 1HR SESSIONS 3 weeks apart) (6 person minimum rate)
Starting at $50 person 2 sessions 1 to make and 1 to paint (schedule at least 3 weeks in between)
1 hr hand-building ceramics 1lb of clay and second session will have participants apply paint or glaze. Work will require two firings, and separate pick up after 2nd firing. Prices depend on amount of clay and glaze needed.
CERAMICS PARTY (6 person minimum rate)
$20-40/ person price depends on amount of clay needed and glaze
1.5-2 hr hand-building ceramics. Work will be fired within 3 weeks. Glaze selected and glazed by staff.
Glazing and painting work individually will require the full experience selection.
POTTERY WHEEL (3 person minimum)
$40/hr individual pottery wheel instruction with 1-2 small items will be made. (More pieces of pottery is additional charge if time allows) Glaze and items are fired/glazed by staff but glaze choice is the individual. If individual prefers to come back and glaze their own work there will be an additional fee. (Individual instruction is $60)
CAMPS & WORKSHOPS
Workshops will be provided as available.

GALLERY SPACE
GALLERY SPACE RENTAL IS $200/day FOR EVENTS, Seating for 1-30 people.
GALLERY SPACE WITH ART PARTY IS $50/hr FOR USE 1-3 hours when available.
Food can also be brought in or catered by Drew’s Gourmet Cheesecakes.
* Groups smaller than 6 people will be an increased rate
* Prices depend on amount of paint, clay and/or glaze needed.
* Please use street parking for all events
* 7% tax will be added to all services and art purchases.
* Art materials will have a surcharge, when material cost is up.
* Availability is limited, schedule at least 2 weeks in advance
